| I have the third Bassmaster Open Tournament coming up in Maryland mid September. And aside from teaching electronics lessons and that tourney I will be starting to change gears and grow feathers. I will be taking a few trips out to the duck hole. There is always alot to do in preparation. Also looking into making some blind changes out at the Walnut Gap blind. I just cant make up my mind what to do about that just yet. However the fall is coming and time to get to work.
Hunting and fishing license can be bought on-line or when you come down. Here are some prices I checked. These are always subject to change.
TN - Fishing
Resident - $28 all year
Non R - $41 all year
Resident Jr. - $8 all year
Non R - $9 all year
Non R 3-day - $16.50
Non R 10-day - $25.50
Reelfoot Lake Duck Hunting - TN
To duck hunt on Reelfoot Lake and you live in TN you will need the following license:
(Granted this gets confusing so don't quote me on this, I did not make the rules)
Hunting License - $28
Waterfowl Addition - $31
Reelfoot Permit - $17 for annual, $10.50 for 3-day, or $3.50 daily
Migratory Bird Permit - $2
Fed Duck Stamp - $15
So if your going to hunt ONLY for 3 days I guess your looking at around $86.50
If you are a Non Resident and wanted to duck hunt on Reelfoot Lake you would need to get the following:
Non R - 7 day waterfowl license - $50.50
OR
Non R - all year waterfowl license - $91
Plus the following:
Migratory Bird Permit - $2
Reelfoot Permit - $17 for annual, $10.50 for 3-day, or $3.50 daily
Federal Duck Stamp - $15
That being said, if you are a non resident of TN and want to hunt ducks on reelfoot for a week then license would cost around $84.
DO NOT SHOW UP FOR A DUCK HUNT WITHOUT A FEDERAL DUCK STAMP. THEY NEED TO BE PURCHASED AT POST OFFICE BEFORE YOU COME
I think if the state would just say, "pay 100 bucks and shoot or catch whatever you want no matter who you are" things would be alot easier. But thats just my opinion.
